Current canvas is made from cotton, linen or synthetic material. In its normal, unprimed state, cotton canvas is an off-white color, and the better linen canvas is a light coffee color. Both can be purchased in unreliable weights and qualities, are the least expensive to buy, but the majority time-consuming to prepare. It is also possible to buy ready, non prolonged canvas, as well as canvas panels, which are already ready, and prepared to paint on when purchased. There are also non-stretched canvases available in arts and crafts stores, some office stores, and department stores.

OIL PASTEL BRANDS: Today so many brands of oil pastel available in a variety of grades. The greater the excellence, the superior the ratio of pure pigment to its oil & wax binder, and the finer the quality of ingredients - allowing for better-off colors and better method. Student is relatively easy to find in your local art provide store. Artist grade oil pastels from Holbein, Sennelier, and Caran D'Ache can be harder to find and appreciably more expensive, but they are the finest quality and ensure your paintings will last a lifetime.
